Penny's Fight Against Cancer

Raising money to help my sister, Penny, with her ongoing battle with cancer. She was first diagnosed in March of 2012. It has been an uphill battle all of the way, but through it all, she remains strong. She has undergone multiple surgeries, radiation and chemotherapy, which has left her in constant pain, making working to support herself extremely challenging. Her fight is not yet over, as she'll be starting yet another round of chemotherapy shortly, and anything you might be able to offer would help immensely.
It's hard to put yourself in her shoes unless you've gone through or have a loved one going through the same thing. Aside from how physically and mentally draining it has been for her these past years, it has been equally devastating financially. Although insurance has been a blessing in covering medical bills, she has been struggling to work every day, just to make ends meet and could truly use some help.
She is a kind, giving person who has always been there for her family, friends, and even animals. When her son, Rick, was young, she worked three simultaneous jobs to make sure he had everything that he needed. She has routinely taken in stray cats in her area, had them neutered/spayed, and found good homes for them, all at her own expense. She has passed this giving, caring nature onto her son, who has been an EMT, a Marine and is now a Police Officer.
Now she needs someone to be there for her in her most desperate time. The money raised will go to her directly to help pay monthly bills, so she can spend more time resting, recuperating and healing, and less time working and causing herself even more pain and stress.
