Recently I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Failure... Then returned home from a week stay in the hospital to find, my computer crashed and all my lives work, all my original music and business documents were stuck on this hard drive, and it will cost me anywhere between $700 - $2,400 just to recover my lives work!

With your help, I truly hope to raise $5k to $10k+ so I can retrieve my music, upgrade my computer software and record my music right in a real studio! The more money I can raise, the better quality of help I can get to finish producing my album!

Hi everyone,

My name is Randy Troche, and it’s the year 2018… And Happy Belated New Year to everyone!

Last year, in the month of May, I was given unexpected bad news, and was diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Failure.

And this transpired from years and years of having high blood pressure and not having any medication to control it!

Before I get too deep into details about my circumstances…

I want to address my 1,300 Facebook friends that may not know who I am personally...

(…So, my plan friending all of you on Facebook, was to introduce myself to you as a songwriter/singer/performer and release my album in hopes of getting a strong start, a first release with your support in launching my songwriting career, but I never imagine I’d be contacting you this way, under these circumstances…) but anyway, here I am!

Facebook in my mind is a phenomenon that confirms the reality that, no matter where in the world you live, you can have an impact or connection with others…

So, helping me is like helping your neighbor or your brother! We are all part of the human race, right, so if you can, please help a brother out!

For most of my life, I have been recognized in the music field as a drummer, a singer, and I am a passionate songwriter, which has yet to be widely recognized… 

On a more personal level, I can say with confidence, I am a good Christian man…

I’ve never drank alcohol, never smoked or taken illegal drugs… And I am a proud father of four great children, (and I have an incredible extended family and several great close and personal friends that I admire and I’m very grateful for…).

I do acknowledge, I am not perfect, but I try very hard to be a good person, in short, this is who I am…

And making this video is not something I ever thought I’d have to do in my life, meaning, to put myself out there and ask for help at this level, in this way, but I need serious help!

Even though my health issues are not the main reason of this video, they are an important part of why I need help right now, more than ever! Let me explain…

As far as the kidney situation, a normal healthy kidney functions at around 60%, my kidneys are functioning at as low as 14%… That's quite a difference!

I’ve been without health insurance for over 10 years and without high blood pressure medication that I’ve needed…

Over the years, I’ve tried to stay healthy with regular exercise, taking vitamins, and improving my eating habits…

But the passed few years I’ve been so busy being back in college, working evening hour jobs, trying to launch my invention/my product ideas (with no funding or budget…), and writing and recording my music (with my limited home studio equipment), (I’ve been working hard, trying to become self-reliant) so hard that I neglected my health… I stopped my regular exercise routine, I started consuming a high-sodium diet (which is not good for kidneys or high blood pressure)…

On top of all that, I’ve had chronic Fatigue throughout my whole life, so, I’ve been taking caffeine tablets to get through my days, and that’s elevated my high blood pressure to extremely dangerous levels... My blood pressure has been recorded as high as 250 over 180…

Now, I take 5 medications prescribed by my kidney doctor, some supplements and I can only take Tylenol that masks my fatigue enough so I can work and get through my shifts…

Without Tylenol I am pretty much useless, completely depleted of energy… I only use whem I need it, like to get through this video, for example…

Not having health insurance or regular health examinations or getting needed advice, can come back to bite you, as I am a living example of that…

So now, I’m waiting to be put on a kidney transplant list…

I can be on the waiting list for as long as 3 years for a kidney and end up on dialysis unable to work a regular job...

Without my music to keep me busy, the waiting can become very torurous and emotionally painful for me... I need to stay busy and productive!

Now, for an example, an average kidney transplant from a deceased donor will last me between 5-10 years…

A living donor’s kidney can last me 10-20 years or even longer, depending on the quality of the kidney… Kidney transplant patients like myself, can receive up to three kidney transplants…

So, if the first kidney doesn’t take or doesn’t last long, I can get three chances!

With a new/semi-used donated kidney, and a steady dose of blood pressure medications, I should be healthier than I’ve ever been…

I am very optimistic I will still have a long life to live! I do believe in miracles!

A few months after my Kidney diagnosis, when I was feeling ready to ask for help, our country was struck with some natural disasters like, Hurricane Harvey and Irma for example, that have affected thousands of lives…

And my heart felt prayers have gone out to all those affected by them…

Since these devastating national events, I’ve been feeling like my personal situation seemed insignificant compared to what so many others were going through at the time…

but now I believe enough time has past and I can reach out and ask for your help…

Being diagnosed with Stage 4 Chronic Kidney Failure, is quite an eye opener and a life-changing experience, but is not the reason for this video!

Here's the reason...

So, after I spent a week in the hospital, I returned home with a renewed view of my life and a greater focus on being more of who I really am, a songwriter/performer that has a great passion to share real life messages with others through my music…

Music for me is about sharing and giving positive messages of reality that can help others, it’s not about the fame or fortune for me…

So… before my week stay in the hospital, I was met with another big obstacle, it wasn't a physical one, but a technical one…

I had been working on an original song on my computer and I was having a lot of PCU power and RAM memory issues on my computer…

The music file I was working on was getting very big and the file crashed before I went to the hospital… 

My thoughts were, I could go back and open an older version of the song file and continue arranging and recording the song…

But when I came home from the hospital a week later and turn my computer on, the screen was blank and nothing I could do would open my computer…

So, I took my hard drive to three different computer experts and ended up with a diagnosis that my hard drive needs a specialist to recover the data from the hard drive and I needed to ship my hard drive to a lab in California…

And there they would diagnose how much it will cost to retrieve my files… Estimating anywhere between $700 to $2,400 to recover the files…

Every song I’ve been working on and have recorded is on this hard drive.

My whole lives work is on this hard drive… 

My plan this past summer in 2017 was to release an album of my original songs and start performing live again!

Unfortunately, the crashing of my hard drive and the failing of my kidneys put all my dreams and hopes on hold…

I’ve spent thousands of hours writing and arranging dozens of songs, and recorded them on this hard drive and they all will be lost if I do nothing!

And doing nothing is not an option!

Since my kidney diagnoses, all my income though has gone toward my living expenses and keeping a roof over my head…

I’ve had to drop out of college (because of lack of energy and money) and until I get my kidney transplant, my health only allows me to work limited hours, I get tired quickly… 

Because of unexpected expenses related to my health issues, I don’t have any extra money, I don’t have any savings at this time…

I don’t have any credit available to me… I don’t have any credit cards, and I don’t use any credit cards… 

So, under these circumstances, I need to turn to you, my neighbors, my family, my friends, associates, artists, musicians, members of my church, people of all faiths, people of all walks of life that understand difficult life situations, to ask for your help to bring my music back to life!

So please help me retrieve my music files, with a donation of $10 or more from each of you, I can recover my music, get professional engineers to help me finish master mixing my songs…

And complete my album and share a digital copy of my album with everyone that contributes to my cause…

And finally be who I really am, before maybe my time runs out? - If it so be that my lives-journey should end sooner than later!!!

Even for me to start over and continue writing and recording my music will cost me more money than I can save for years on my own, time is not on my side!

My music software I use to write and record with has expired since the crashing of my hard drive, so I have to purchase new music software to even begin writing again…

I am stuck without help from you!
