Ximena S. Sobreviviente de LAMIA

Donation protected

My name is Ximena Suarez Otterburg and I am a survivor of the LAMIA accident that happened in Colombia. I am 28 years old and I was born in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia. I am a single mother of two children who are 2 and 6 years old.  I went to school for a bit and studied engineering in process control at the Autonomous University of Gabriel Rene Moreno; however, I spent of my life as a cabin crew member. At this moment in time, I am unable to work for physical and psychological problems. I get severe pains when I sit or stand for long periods of time. The pain is concentrated on my spine and feet. I am unable to use some of the function of my hand and am still recovering from the injury in my leg. I also have many more upcoming surgeries that I have to go through as well.

For those that don’t already know, I haven’t received 5 months of a paycheck from Lamia. The airlines was in financial trouble before the accident and I stayed with the company because this job is mainly all I have ever known. I am working with a lawyer now because the airlines is not covering some medical expenses. Between the therapy, treatments, surgeries and laywer, I am struggling financially to keep food on the table for my boys. I am asking for help from the public for help to get on top of my medical bills and to help my two children.

My account is used for the campaign; however, my cousin who lives in Tampa Florida, Maria Elena Antelo Otterburg, and her daughter Kristen Waldorf are helping out with the campaign as well. Maria is in charge the bank account for the funds, since she lives in USA.

I beg you to stop writing hurtful comments because they are not necessary. If you do not want to donate or read my plea, then you are more than welcome to leave this page. If you feel that you would like to share this post, but are unable to donate, please do!!! Unless you are in my shoes, then you really don’t fully understand what I am going through. I would greatly appreciate the help. Thank you and God Bless.
