Homecooked meals for the Dixons

Donation protected
I grew up in the country where significant life events are responded to with cooking! Someone has a baby, you pop around with a present and a lasagne. Someone passes away, you make a casserole and some baked goods to go with the many cups of tea. Someone is having a tough time, crack out your best soup recipe and some lemon slice. Not having to think about what is for dinner or what to serve the next set of visitors may seem minor but for many it is genuinely one of the most helpful things someone can do for you to get you through another day. I am now back living where I grew up which means I can cook for those in my community who need it. What I can't do is cook for my friends who span the globe and, right now, I really wish I could deliver some home cooked meals to my dear friends, Clare and Rob Dixon. Clare and Rob welcomed Johnny, their 3rd precious baby, in October 2015. Johnny was born with some pretty significant kidney issues (you can read more here: Johnny Dixon's story) and is currently undergoing dialysis prior to an inevitable transplant. I would love to stock their freezer, just to ease the burden of one more thing to think about during this very challenging time. That got me thinking that maybe there were other friends feeling the same way. I would dearly love to be able to raise enough money to supply 4 weeks worth of evening meals through a service provided by The Dinner Ladies . If you know how helpful a meal can be and you want to help the Dixons in some small way, any donation would be greatly appeciated!
