There are times when sudden circumstances meet us along the journey of life and all our Hope’s seem to be blurred and shattered.
Gilbert Nii Abeo Cofie is a 25 years old student of the University of Ghana, reading information studies, education and sociology. He is so inspiring and passionate about helping others in the society.
In a grip of breath behind, Gilbert has been on management for End stage kidney failure from chronic Glomerulonephritis which was diagnosed in July,2017 and has been on maintenance hemodialysis since September,2017. Aside that, there are other medications he takes to control his blood pressure and normal leaving. He does Hemodialysis two or three sessions in a week which costs GHC352 per session and about GHc1200 in a week.
Gilbert needs an urgent kidney transplantation, of which a potential donor is going through laboratory tests for approval and acceptance. The cost of kidney transplantation and other related costs ( In India) ranges from $35,000 to $45,000. He will also need GHC 3,000 to GHC 4,000 every month for laboratory evaluations and regular check ups.
Gilbert Nii Abeo Cofie, is an amazing communicator who educates people to have good nutrition and enough exercise, He has a gift of humility and easily comprehension impact in all his communication, He has a great skill in organizing and arrangements, which does every Sunday in his church.
Through Health Factor is a Non Governmental Organisation, set to help the less privileged, handicapped and deprived communities with basic health issues that infringes them from living a well deserving life.
Suffering from kidney failure, Gilbert now faces a number of challenges preventing him from leaving a normal life. With this, we as the HFF has taken it upon ourselves to make an impact in his life by creating avenue to solicit for funds to support Gilbert Nii Abeo in his kidney transplant of an amount of $45,000.
We are calling on Government, individuals, N.G.O's and philanthropists to come to the aid of our dear brother, he is a young man with so much to give to the world. Donors can reach us on.
