Help family struck by tradegdy

Late last Sunday morning, the Jimmy Jenkins family was returning to their home in North Dakota from a visit to family in Idaho when control of the car was lost, causing the car to roll a number of times.  Five members of the family were in the car, including the mom and dad, Lorenda and Jimmy, and three daughters. Lorenda, and mother of 6 children, passed away at the scene.  The father suffered a severe brain injury, and remains on life support in intensive care.  Two of the three girls were catastrophically injured, one especially so.  Both of them were flown to a children’s trama hospital in Salt Lake City. Both young ladies remain in intensive care and are on life support. One is in an especially bleak medical condition. The 15 year-old daughter, Mariah, is progressing well, and is out of intensive care.  She has a broken ankle, broken pelvis, and broken ribs.  Besides the broken bones, Mariah lost her left arm above the elbow. 

Jimmy worked hard when the opportunity presented itself.  He worked in the North Dakota oil industry. But such jobs come and go, and at the time of the accident, they had neither life insurance nor health insurance. Jimmy and Lorenda loved each other since their school days, and had remained together for more than 20 years.

Today the family has nothing and the costs are overwhelmingly unimaginable.  To say the costs will range into the hundreds of thousands of dollars would be a grotesque understatement.

All donations will go for the support of the children, the father, the medical and rehabilitation bills, and to make possible the presence of family members, who otherwise could not be present to lend their support and encouragement.
