Danny Needs Your Help!

On Wednesday, May 15, at 1:30pm Danny had a heart attack at his job site. His heart stopped. He fell and hit his head. This caused him to have a seizure. When he fell his coworkers heard the commotion and went to see what was going on. They found Danny during the seizure. He became unresponsive. They began to give him CPR, and called the paramedics. When the paramedics arrived it took 3 shocks from the defibrillator before he had a pulse. He was down for approximately 15 minutes. He was taken to the Emergency Room at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago. He had another seizure in the emergency room as they were trying to get him conscious. They put him in a medically induced coma to calm the body. He was in critical condition. When the hospital started to bring him out of the coma he began to become responsive Friday morning. He has consistently been showing  small signs of improvement. The doctor called him "Miracle Man". He still needs an angiogram to assess damage to his heart and arteries. He has a long way to go, but things are looking better everyday. It is only by the grace of God, and everyone’s prayers that he is alive and with us today.

Danny is a carpenter. He does not get paid time off. If he doesn’t work then he doesn’t get paid. It is unclear how long he will be unable to work. He still needs his heart to be evaluated. He may need stints, or surgery. He will have to have extensive therapy regardless.

The family has decided to create this fundraiser to help ease his financial stress. We want Danny to focus on getting physically and mentally healthier. We don’t want Danny to lose his house, or car. We want him to have electricity, heat, and water. Most importantly we want to help with his medical bills.
