WHO:
This page is being set up to help our good friends, Darcy & Kevin Dolce, while Kevin fights the good fight against Cancer.
WHY:
It has been a long, stressful and scary week for Darcy, Kevin, their two daughters and their entire family. It was a normal Thursday afternoon. Kevin was at work, went home for his normal lunch hour. He told Darcy he didn’t feel right. He couldn’t explain it, he just didn’t feel himself. He shook it off and went back to work. Then the unthinkable happened. Kevin had a seizure as soon as he got back to work. He seized for 7-10 minutes. They rushed him to the hospital, did tests, and found a mass on his brain and his lung. By Friday afternoon he was scheduled for brain surgery on Monday. Thankfully, Kevin made it through surgery without any issues. He’s going to have a pretty big scar but as Kevin said while in the hospital, “Chicks dig scars!”.
WHAT’S NEXT:
His fight isn’t over yet, though. He has to have continued radiation on his brain to make sure they got all of the cells and it doesn't come back. And they also found cancer in his Lymph Nodes that they have to take care of, too. He still has Cancer on his lung. The type of Cancer on his lung is called “Adenocarcinoma”. It is a fast spreading Cancer. He is going to have to go through treatments sooner, rather than later.
As you can imagine, this is going to put a big amount of stress on all of them. Hospital bills, Doctor bills, everyday bills..That’s all going to add up quickly! No one knows how long Kevin will be out of work or how much time Darcy will miss.
Any donation, big or small, will help them out immensely. They are going to have so much to deal with and worry about BESIDES everyday life, we don’t want them worrying about bills and debt while fighting to keep Kevin here with his family where he belongs.
