Hurricane Florence Recovery

As a lot of you already know my husband and I are currently stationed in Jacksonville North Carolina and were hit by Hurricane Florence. We are coming up on 8 months pregnant and so safety was our main concern. We evacuated the area Tuesday September 11th saying goodbye to many of our belongings. Including vehicles, baby items, furniture, kitchen appliances etc. Our neighborhood was completely flooded and the entire first floor of our rental property was under water. Due to the flooding our home suffered extensive damages and is now in an unlivable condition. We have been jumping from house to house throughout the east coast staying with different friends. In the hurricane my place of employment unfortunately, also suffered severe damages and will not be reopening in time to make some extra money before the baby comes. We are now back in Jacksonville, staying with another friend so Colton can get back to work. We are now in the process of filing claims, searching for a new home and removing our remaining items before the mold that is now forming creates any further damage. With one less job and a big ole belly, we are now left with the expense and physical labor of moving what is left of our things into a new home and re-preparing for the arrival of our baby girl in just a few short weeks.
