Hey, my name is Noah Dandridge and I am seeking your support in reducing the cost for my institutional abroad trip to Nanjing, China this summer of 2018! I am currently a full-time student at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville studying Supply Chain & Management with a collateral in International Business. Also, I have been currently serving my country for the past two years as a member of the United States Marine Corps Reserves.
Outside of my busy schedule with balancing college courses and serving my country, I am involved around campus as an active member of Brothers United of Excellence (BUE), People of Style & Education (P.O.S.E), and Educational Advancement Program (EAP). In addition, I am involved in the communities of Knoxville and Memphis Tennesee with volunteer work such as homeless shelter assistance, church events, and animal shelter aid.
I have been accepted into this wonderful program that will be held on the campus of Southeast University in beautiful Nanjing, China. Southeast University is UT’s Confucius Institute partner and one of China’s premier universities.
My primary role in this two-week session is working with Southeast University students to increase their interest and enthusiasm for English language and American culture. Another goal of this program is to improve their basic reading, writing, listening and speaking skills. This goal will most definitely be accomplished through classes and fun activities taught by experienced faculty members in a camp-like environment.
I am responsible for paying my international round-trip plane ticket, passport, Chinese work visa, institutional abroad fees, international health insurance, and other travel expenditures.
