Trying to survive

Hi my name is Shannon and I’m a 47 year old single parent to a disabled 25 year old amazing  son . I have been employed with the same company for 28 years . For a long period of time I have been able to take care of my son with no child support and provided health insurance for my son’s illness . Now the tables have turned and i am now sick but what’s much is, i have no one to take care of me. I was always very healthy, exercised and ate well .   I started noticing changing within my body i went to my local doctor and then  went for  a couple years of diagnostic testing at the GI Motility program at Cedars Sinai,  until i was told that my lining holding all my intestines had torn apart from my tail bone and created a cavern where my intestines went up and stopped working such as closing off the circulation . I have had 5 surgery’s with several complications , with over 50 hospital stays at Cedars Sinai to fix this situation for the better .. To this day I’m still no better than i was . I have home health for iv  hydration and now  iv antibiotics . I have been trying to work and manage this condition the best I can. At times I haven’t worked enough hours to keep my insurance and have had to pay Cobra of $806.00 not including my son . I am now faced with no income to pay my rent or monthly bills.. I have used all my state disability. I have not received a full paycheck for about a year now  but we always had enough money for rent, food and house hold bills.  Since I have exhausted my resources, I’m now looking to you for help . This has been a long journey, going on 6 years. I hope I never find myself in this situation with no income again .

I just want to say thank again for all your support and contributions. I want to say this ... Dear God .. I’m crying out to you for some relief and make me feel better. Please allow me to work and function again like I used to and be well for my son so he does not have to see his mom sick everyday. No child should see this. In Jesus name Amen!
I am still sick with infection and I’m simply exhausted mentally and physically . I will try to up date when possible .

Today is Saturday the 6th of January and I believe I’m going home from Cedars. I’ve been sick since November and in the hospital three times . I pray this is it so I can get my strength up and get back to work. If anyone reads this, can you please continue to help us until I can get well and back to work..
