Bob's Medical Fund

It's been over 50  days since Bob entered the hospital and the road ahead will not be easy but Bob's spirit and strength are unwaivering.

The past 2 months started with an infection that infected a previously repaired heart valve.  Bob's open heart surgery took place on Septemper 6, 2017 with the surgery having many complications and taking several hours.  As many of our family and friends know, he had a complication after removal of one of the life support machines he was on and ended up with a stroke that affected his right side.  Since then, he has regained movement in his right foot and is getting stronger every day with the use of his right hand.  We are hopeful that we can get his mobility back but it is going to take patience and many hours of therapy under strict medical care.  He still has a tracheostomy with hospital personnel hoping that they can remove in the near future.  

A couple of weeks ago Bob was moved from The Cleveland Clinic to Regency Hospital to manage his care but remains in the ICU.  Bob is fighting like a champion and is free to have visitors while he gets stronger and rehabilitates.  

As many of you know, our healthcare only covers so much Bob and Cindy are accumulating medical bills that will not be covered by insurance.  In addition, we just found out that Cindy requires surgery which will only add to their financial burden.  A little help from family and friends will allow Bob and Cindy to focus on their health and not worry about all the financial obligations that will continue to accumulate.
