Jeff's medical fund

Hello, I am Andie Douglas.  I am 13 years old and I want to talk about something that is very important to me.  I would like people to be aware of this type of situation and to be cautious, and to reach out and help the ones in need.  But right now I want you to read my dad's story.

My dad, Jeff Douglas, is 49 years old and he had two brain aneurysms which led to a stroke on October 14th. After brain surgery and a long stay in the ICU, he continued his care in the hospital and the rehab institute.  He spent over a month and a half going back and forth between the two before he was able to go home.  He was supposed to be out of the hospital and home on November 20th, but had complications with his recovery.  Most of the time he is very confused because his short term memory has been severely affected and he usually doesn't know where he is or what happened to him.  My dad is a very hard working man and enjoys what he does for a living and enjoys his friends and especially his family.
He works at Hanneke's Westwood Grocery store where he makes sandwiches in the deli for families in Kirkwood, among other responsibilites in the store.  My dad is mostly known as the person to always be loved by the kids at the store, but also just loved by everyone else, even if he just says a friendly hello, he's just that kind of person to always help someone or just be a kind person to talk to.
What I need is for friends and families to come together and help out by providing money, love and support just to show that you care.  What I need is for my dad to come home and get better.  He still requires 24 hour a day care.  It would make me so happy to see people helping out to show that you care for the one's in need.  And right now that is my dad.
