WYN’s MEDICAL BILLS

Hi my name is Lizzie Pasa an Australian Registered Nurse, Im raising a medical fund for my bestfriend Wynzelle Fidel (in Green Top) who is currently admitted at the hospital with unknown infection. Wynnie is an International Student in Melbourne working in Childcare and Disability. 

For the last couple of weeks she has been having intense headache, on and off high fever (past 1 week), dehydrated, colds+cough, lower back pain, nausea+vomiting, dizziness and general body weakness and fatigue and other signs of infection she has been tested for sinus, chest and ear infection to no avail, consulted for more than thrice just this week and the doctors are still unsure what my friend has until she became too weak and got admitted in the hospital. 

Currently theyve tested her for possible Meningitis which is an infection in the brain, in the hospital a spinal tap has been organised, MRI, ultrasounds, number of pcr test, blood tests still awaiting for diagnosis :(

At the moment she is undergoing IV therapy and IV antibiotics still unable to ambulate and very unwell.

The doctor have advised that she may need to be referred to intensive care if there is no progress. They also have query pneumonia but still unsure.

Me and Wynnie has been very close friends since highschool. Wynnie came in Australia just like any migrants in hopes of a greener pasture as, she is the only breadwinner of her family and working currently in Victoria as Disability/Aged Care worker and in Childcare. She has been an amazing carer to a lot of Australian people despite missing her own family although she only have her Mom and younger brother.

She has been juggling work, studies as she is self supporting, she feels devastated not able to work now that she’s sick unfortunately she wasnt given any annual leave or sick leave as her current jobs are contractual and I know being an International student and juggling all these is very difficult to face on her own, She has always been kind and patience to everyone and everything I wanted to help her but I can only give so much.

So Im reaching out to anyone who is willing to help Wynnie. 

Wynnie wanted to pursue a nursing career in the near future and I know she would be a great addition to the Australian nursing community. As an International Student she have been saving up for this. I got worried that whatever she have saved up for nursing will mostly go to her medical bills as she is on student visa this only means she has to pay out of pocket for most of the hospital bills as her health insurance wont cover all, with all the procedures and medications she’s having it will be expensive :( she’s the only breadwinner in her family and we would like to request for some help.
