Wynn of Us: Help brave fighter Charlie Wynn

Charlie Wynn turns 30 this month and despite being a former amateur and professional boxer, is currently embroiled in the toughest fight of his life. The likeable Southwark family man - described as kind and loving by devoted wife Alana - seemingly had a bright future when, after just two pro bouts, he suffered a freak injury in training that resulted in significant brain damage.

Charlie's plight is not covered by the NHS and he currently resides in a nursing home. Alana and his family wish to bring Charlie home, adapt his residence for his altered needs and fund his long-term care. Even during his pro boxing career, grafter Charlie worked full-time as a self-employed electrician, work he is of course unable to return to.

Several notable people in the boxing community, including Dominic Negus and Steve Lillis, have or are raising money for this worthy cause but Charlie's unfortunate situation necessitates broader help. So we ask you to dig deep for a family man and true fighter.
