Help Franco walk again!
Donation protected
My cousin Franco Urrutia who lives in Florida was hit by a car and severely injured! He needs our help to get back on his feet with proper rehab so he can walk again one day. We all know Franco for his fun, energetic, down to earth personality. Let's help him get the help he needs so he can walk again one day and get back to his normal self!
His story is below..
"I was hit by a car while crossing the street and thrown about 20 feet. I endured a shattered left pelvis and a fracture to the T12/L1 vertebrae, both top and bottom parts of the pelvis were broken. It took an 8 hour surgery to put me back together. Full recovery is expected to take 9-12 months. Extensive physical therapy will be needed.
I had recently quit my job at iHeartMedia to pursue my life-long dream of being a chef and restauranteur. I started attending Le Cordon Bleu Miami April 6th, and had gotten my first kitchen job ever at one of Fort Lauderdale's top restaurants.
Due to my recent career and life change, I am currently without health insurance. My hospital bill alone, not including X-rays, anesthesia, and surgery is over $80,000. Total expenses after everything will upwards of $300k. I do not qualify for any kind of supplemental assistance due to my income from previous job. The person who hit me, has no assets and $10,000 in insurance. Any kind of contributions will help. If you cannot help monetarily, please say a prayer. All those who can help in any way, will have my life-long gratitude and a free meal yearly at any of my restaurants (first one will open 2019). "
