WVHS Chess Team to World Championship

Waubonsie Valley High School (WVHS) chess team is planning to participate at their first international competition.

WVHS chess team tied for the 2nd place (7th on tie-break) among the 128 high school chess teams in 2024. We were 2023-24 Co-champions of the DVC conference.

To support the team travel to the World Schools Team Championship, we are looking for Aurora area businesses and organization to sponsor our team. All donations will be tax deductible. The tentative total cost for the team to travel to the World Championship is about $20,000 and your contribution is very much appreciated.
