The House Larry Built Plaque
Donation protected
This fundraiser is to raise money for a plaque to show our deep appreciation and love for a man who literally built DeWitt softball with his own two hands. These hands, now often fail him. Larry and his dad built the dugouts themselves. Larry built the pressbox, put up the fence, made sure that the grass was watered and cut just so. There was never a "bad hop" spot on the infield. Larry had a positive influence on multiple generations of girls in DeWitt and cared deeply about the quality of girls softball, a sport he coached for 29 years. He is now in a nursing home, at the age of 64, battling Parkinson's Disease. I would like to honor him and show him just how much he is cared for and how much the community benefited from his "tradition" that is DeWitt softball. If you want to help please consider donating. Any funds over the cost of the plaque will go towards DeWitt Softball and the Michigan Parkinson's Foundation. Thank you!
