Help save my dad!

February 2016 my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 prostate cancer that had metastasised to the bone. He was only given 1 year to live. My dad found out about his diagnosis the day before he lost his job due to job cuts. The life of myself, his 17 year old son, my older brother, his 19 year old son and my mother, his wife was turned upside down. 2 weeks after my dad’s diagnosis, my mother’s father passed away from the same disease. It was the beginning of a year that would be tough, and it was. Over the past 2 years my dad has struggled through vigorous aggressive rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. There has been nothing more upsetting than watching my dad who I’ve always known to be a strong man who works 12 hours a day to support his family, struggle to get out of bed everyday. Due to the dramatic loss of income, my mum has had to pick up extra shifts at work as well as getting a second job and my brother and I have had no choice but to contribute our own part time wages just to keep our house running as well as pay for Dad’s expensive treatments. The time has now come where conventional Australian medicine is failing my dad at every turn and we need to outsource his treatment to a clinic in Germany where he will receive 4 weeks of integrative medicine treatments, all of which have been scientifically proven to help treat and cure prostate cancer. As the health care system is different in Germany, the price of this 4 week treatment is $157,000. A feat of which we ourselves cannot afford on our own, so I am here today begging for help as this is my Dad’s last chance of survival. I don’t want to lose my dad before I turn 18 and my mother doesn’t want a life without him, none of us do so please help save my dad.
