They are working with their insurance company, but it could be a while before any money comes in. The Red Cross gave them $500 but that won’t go very far considering. I wanted to start this fundraiser for them to help cover a couple of weeks in a hotel, clothes and emergency supplies (because the fire department forced them to leave their home with nothing but an overnight bag). I would also like to provide them with enough money to take a weekend trip with the kids and make some memories during this difficult time. Grace and Brad have 2 small children and 1 on the way. Gift cards to Walmart, Grocery stores, restaurants, or target would all be appreciated. I can’t imagine what they are going through! If you are able to help in anyway, it will be very much appreciated.

Please say a prayer for our family. We woke up at 1am to our house shaking, people screaming and a car coming in our living room. We live in a neighborhood in Proctorville, speed limit 25. Not a country winding road at all. Just a curve.

The couple that were in the car are okay, thankfully. We’re not sure what caused the accident exactly. But, we do know there was no attempt to brake so it was full force.

Thank God no one in our home was on the couch, and that it was not the first window they hit. That is Ellie’s bedroom.

Our house, on the other hand is clearly not ok. We need prayers as we navigate these next steps. Our house is deemed unlivable, so Red Cross is looking to put us in a hotel soon. This could be a long long process. We just moved here 6 months ago or so, so this is all very stressful.

We are beyond grateful for our neighbors who took us in for the night, and helped with the children. God has surely blessed us with an amazing community
