Cleo’s Medical Expenses

This is Cleo. This poor girl was struck by a vehicle this evening and is now in critical condition. The vet thinks there is neurological damage due to loss of responsiveness. To walk again she will need a plate possibly placed in one of her legs, and there is possibly internal damage in the stomach. This poor girl is less then a year old and the sweetest girl. The car who hit her didn’t even stop to make sure she was ok. Lets  support the family and get this girl home!!!! P.S her mom is a COVID unit nurse and has done a lot for those who mean the most to us. Let’s give back!! The above was after initial assessment. The injuries fortunately were not as bad as initially anticipated. See the update below from her parents. Cleo is now home and on a long road to recovery! Update as of 8/11- cleo had to be rushed to the hospital due to vomiting and not being able to eat. She ended up being septic and needing emergency surgery. So Cleo made it through surgery okay, no dead tissue, nothing obvious besides this brown substance that was very stuck and very firmly attached to her entire abdomen. The surgeon cut out as much as he could without causing trauma to the tissues but there is still a lot there. He put in a few drains to keep fluid from building up again. He also put a tube down her nose to decompress her stomach because it wasn't as active as it should be. There is a lot of inflammation in her abdomen and we don't know what caused it. Vet said he couldn't give us an idea of what her chances are because he hasn't seen anything like this so the next 24-36 hrs are critical for her... He is hoping they took out enough of that substance that she just heals on her own from this point.
