CODY’S KIDS

Meet four special siblings.  They are: Catalina and her brother David, both age 7; Chris, age 5; and Corea, age 4.  A little more than a month ago (on July 23, 2017) their mother, Yazmin, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly from a traumatic brain aneurysm.  Nearly simultaneously, their father, Cody, was laid off when two police departments merged.  Losing a young mother is a tragedy at any time, but in this instance, the challenge of putting a family back together is made more difficult by the loss of income associated with the father’s job. Fortunately for Catalina, David, Chris and Corea, they have a network of support in the form of family and friends, and of course, Cody is actively working to secure a new job. 

In the meantime, there continue to be unmet needs—bigger clothes for growing kids, school fees, child care expenses, and so forth.  This family is on a path to recovery and will be on their feet soon, but now, to help bridge the gap between the resources they have and the needs they face, this fund has been established to support Catalina, David, Chris, Corea, and their dad, Cody.
