Recently we found out that Sam, has developed Stage IV Colorectal Cancer with a number of secondary metastasis.
At 33 years old, this has come as a major shock to our family, especially to Samuel and Rachel as they begin growing a future and a family with little daughter Frankie.
As we navigate through this time as a family, we would really appriciate your help to ensure that Sam has access to not only the greatest care possible, but also to ensure that the impact on their lives is kept to a minimum and is as manageable as possible.
So far, Sam has already undergone surgery to ensure that he is in the best place possible to commence the long and arduous journey of extensive chemotherapy.
Once the chemotherapy has run its cycle there is then the prospect of him needing a number of major invasive surgical procedures to give him the greatest opportunities to overcome this disease.
Ultimately we need access to these funds as soon as possible.
Sam is self employed and over recent years has built a successful and growing business while Rachel has also been attending University studying in areas of Social Work. Together they have been working toward a successful future for their family.
There is no doubt that this time will have an impact on their immediate plans for the future.
Since his diagnosis and initial surgery, Sams ability to continue working efficiently has understandably suffered and the emotional and financial stress that will inevitably result will add further complications to an already difficult and confronting situation. Rachel has already had to defer her studies to be available for Sam and Frankie.
At this time, we are looking to get the best possible care for Sam and we've all been chipping in as much as we can. But with the merry-go-round of medical expenses related to his diagnosis, we are only at the beginning of a long process and this is where we need your help!
