Wright's Indian Art Gallery Robbed and Damaged

Donation protected
Last week, Wright's Indian Art Gallery in Albuquerque, NM, was broken into and robbed, causing approximately $100,000 loss in damage and theft of a large amount of one-of-a-kind, handmade Native American Art.

Dan and Lauren Hyman are the owners of Wright's. They are heartsick over this crushing blow to their Family Business and their continued mission to promote and support Native American Art and their family of Artists. Like so many in today's complex business environment, they are trying to weather these difficult financial times and provide for their young family. What they are experiencing as a result of this could prove to be crippling, so I am asking on their behalf for your help and generosity in their critical time of need.

Thank you for your generosity, shares and prayers,

Tim Blueflint

In Dan's words...

Dear Friends,

Where to begin?

Unfortunately, Wright's Indian Art Gallery experienced a break-in, costly damage, and significant theft, and we need your help in overcoming this and moving forward.

In a perfect world, insurance would cover all losses; however, we will not be made whole without some help because we carry only handmade, one-of-a-kind pieces. We are asking for your help to fill in the gap to leave these issues behind as we move forward.

As a 115-year-old business, Wright's has gutted it out through many challenging times, including two World Wars, the Great Depression, the Influenza pandemic, stock market and economic crashes, and COVID-19, amongst many others.

Throughout these challenges, then and now, our mission remains clear and steadfast:

We relish the opportunity to continue supporting all that is good in this beautiful Native Art world... it's in our blood to do the right thing, do our best, and do our best for the people who believe in us.

We have been fortunate to have the support of the local, national, and international Native art communities, our dear artist friends, and everyone involved in our successful longevity.

Wright's has continued through four generations of our own family, and we have worked with many Native families directly for decades, some for up to five generations.

In order to keep things moving forward, recover as best we can, and continue directly supporting these incredible Native artists and their families without interruption, we are humbly reaching out to you for any support you can provide.

Please share this anywhere you can, encourage your friends and family to do the same, and give when possible (every little bit is meaningful). Help us recover from this quickly and allow us to continue serving the artists and communities that we are so proud and fortunate to be part of and support.

From our family to you and yours, we thank you for everything you have done and continue to do to keep us moving forward and allow us to wake up each day knowing that we will continue to impact so many positively.

With much love, gratitude and appreciation,

Dan, Lauren, Mariella and Jeremiah Hyman, Sierra Chinana, Amanda Johnston, and our extended Wright's family
