Please Help Kecia Kick Her Cancer

As many of you know, and some of you may not, our beautiful girl Kecia was diagnosed with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma earlier this year. It was such a shock to us all as Kecia is such a health conscious, vibrant, and lovely person inside and out. She has always been very active; playing sports her whole life, she loves doing anything outdoors and is passionate about nutrition. Last year she started studying holistic nutrition part-time while working as an RN. Kecia’s oncologist recommended the traditional route of 4-6 rounds of chemotherapy, but she chose a different path. Through her knowledge as an RN, after researching countless hours, and following her intuition, she decided a natural and holistic approach was best for her healing.
Kecia has surrounded herself with an amazing team and is following a protocol recommended by a renowned Naturopathic Oncologist. This involves mistletoe therapy, which is widely used successfully in Europe for cancer patients, a raw food diet, a multitude of supplements, i.v. vitamin therapy, acupuncture, reiki and various other healing modalities. Unfortunately, natural therapy is very expensive at over $4000.00/month. With Kecia not working, and focusing all of her time and energy on her health and healing, this is a huge burden and stress for this young couple. Chemotherapy is free but alternative natural treatment is not.
This diagnosis came at a time when Kecia and Sheehan had just moved to Campbell River, and Kecia had started a new nursing position there. Because of her diagnosis, the symptoms and her determination to devote her time to healing she has been unable to work. And due to their recent move, she does not have any sick time or long term disability benefits. They currently have used up all of their savings and are nearing the end of their line of credit. Without additional financial support Kecia will not be able to continue her treatments.
Many of you have asked what you can do to help and we have all appreciated the amazing outpouring of love, good wishes and support to date. Kecia and Sheehan are reluctant to ask for any help but stress is not conducive to healing and in order to help alleviate the financial stress, worry and to support Kecia’s ongoing treatment regime I have created a GoFundMe campaign. We would greatly appreciate, if you can, any donation to help her continue her healing in becoming 100% cancer free. She is doing incredibly well, and is positive that her chosen treatment plan is working.
Kecia has found a new passion through her healing journey. She dreams of helping other people heal themselves naturally as well including starting a charity to help people subsidize alternative/holistic treatments.
