Firstly, thanks so much for coming to this page! So a bit about what I am crowd funding for... So late last year I started training with my Coach Josh at his gym https://www.facebook.com/controlledchaosweightlifting/
Around about January he decided maybe I'd have a crack at a local open competition (picture below showing me at said comp) and see how we would go at trying to qualify for the World Masters Weightlifting Championships being held in August.
Anyway, as it so happened I did qualify and the next thing you know we had to work out how we were both going to get to Barcelona.. so here we are..
The World Championships are being held in Barcelona this year and move to a different country each year. I first had the dream of being able to lift at a Championships 4 years ago but at that time couldn't dedicate the time needed. So it is kind of a big deal for me to have this dream come to fruition this year.
So now we have to find and kindly ask people to help myself and Josh get to Barcelona. The money raised will go towards our flights, accommodation, insurances and athletes fee.
With the help of some amazing people I have managed to put this crowd funding page together and get this ball rolling and hopefully raise the money we need.
The wonderful Brittany Kilsby from Hot Copper Studio https://www.hotcopperstudio.com/brittany-kilsby
has designed some amazing t-shirts for those that donate $50 or over! (see design below in pic 3). The incredible Nina from Northside Merchandise https://www.northsidemerch.com.au has printed these amazing tees and because I like to keep it fun and real the incredible Rob https://www.instagram.com/tattyclub/ made the awesome video above. All three of these people are amazing artists and have donated their time and energy!! Check them all out! Helping community is important and I'm so grateful!!
