AMERICA'S LONELINESS CRISIS

America has reached Peak 65, as a record number of Baby Boomers turn 65 in 2024. This demographic shift coincides with a rapid decline in workers available to meet this demand. Consequently, our current senior living loneliness crisis will accelerate over the next decade as we have fewer employees to care for seniors.

NEW SOLUTION

Virtual Reality is quickly becoming validated as a powerful new tool to help seniors feel connected to loved ones, nature, and their place of worship.

OUR MISSION

San Diego 4.0 will continue validating VR as a new technology to support isolated seniors and patients with early dementia.

WIN #1: Our project seeks to train the first 100 people in creating and safely delivering VR experiences to support seniors, hospital patients, hospice patients, and students.

WIN #2: We will provide hundreds of VR Experiences to support residents' feelings of love, connection, and empowerment.

THREE STEPS

CREATE: We will create hundreds of immersive 360 videos of local parks, trails, beaches, and places of worship.

DELIVER: We will donate these immersive videos to San Diego senior living organizations for FREE.

RESEARCH: Our team will research VR and its support for isolated seniors and early dementia patients.

CITY-BY-CITY

San Diego 4.0 will launch hyper-local campaigns to complete this community project. Our first three cities include El Cajon, Santee, and La Mesa.
