Worlds Competition Trip - TEAM USA

Hi! My name is Jessica Morlan. I am a competitive baton twirler and have been twirling competitively since I was 3 years old. I attended my first National Competition at the age of 5 and decided that I wanted to one day earn the title as “Miss Majorette of America.” In 2015, I earned the title I had trained so hard for and was named the 2015 Juvenile Miss Majorette of America. I decided to set a new goal for myself after winning that title. I wanted to earn a spot on TEAM USA so that I could represent our wonderful country and compete on an International level. World competitions take place every 3 years. I trained hard with a goal in mind and during my training this past spring, I landed a jump wrong and broke my foot. I became extremely down on myself because I had worked so hard for so long and due to a broken foot, I had to stop training for 6 weeks. When I was released to train again, it was very frustrating because I had to retrain my body, gain back my stamina and speed and I felt as if I was completely starting over. I had only six weeks to work so I practiced my summer away spending many hours in the gym each day. This past July, I competed at the NBTA National Twirling Competition held at The University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. I was named the 2019 Advanced Pre-Teen National Solo Champion out of 51 girls from all over the United States and Canada. I also earned a spot on the USA World Team in four events. The top 3 girls from the United States in each advanced division were awarded a spot on Team USA. I was one of the few girls from the USA that made the team in all four of my events. Making TEAM USA has been a huge dream come true. I will have the honor to travel to Eindhoven, Netherlands in April 2020 to compete as a member of the 2020 NBTA International USA World Team. I will compete in the following events in the Pre-Teen age division: solo, strut, two baton and rhythmic against individuals from 26 other countries. This trip will be a very expensive one so I am looking for sponsors to help me make it to Holland so I can represent the USA as I go for the GOLD! This is one of the highest honors to achieve in the world of baton twirling and I am so excited for the opportunity! If you are unable to help financially, then I can certainly use your prayers as I train for this honorable event!
Thank you so much!
