World Powerlifting Competition
Howdy, my name is Fayth Ham and I am a senior at College Station High School and I will be representing the USA at the IPF World Powerlifting competition in Sweden. I have had a very blessed powerlifting career filled with so many opportunities. My hard work and love for the sport pushed me this past year and my journey contained a 2021 Regional Championship and a State Championship, along with multiple Top Women’s Lifter Honors, as well as a new state record in squat and lifting over 1000 pounds in 3 events. Culminating with 2 National Championships in Women’s Powerlifting and now I am a part of the National team headed to Halmsted, Sweden to compete at Worlds!
I am so honored to be offered this incredible opportunity. This news was welcomed with open arms and my family has been supporting me through it all. In this last month I have been working hard in order to get myself ready and while I am prepared physically and mentally, I am in need of your financial support to make this opportunity a reality!
I want to show the world that being strong and competitive are not traits that should only be nurtured in male athletes. I believe, as a female athlete, being strong and competitive is empowering, and beautiful and should be nurtured in everyone! I believe in having a good work ethic and perseverance are some of the main skills you learn in sports. Having these abilities will not just get you far in sports but in life as well! In order to show the world how beneficial competitiveness is to all people, I need your help!
I have had little girls come up to me and ask questions. I realized that I am no longer doing this for me or my school, but for my gender. I think , if those little girls can see me do what I do, then they will believe that they can do it to and this can do it to and this becomes much bigger than just another competition. It can give hope and hope is a wonderful thing.
The competition is Sept 23 – Oct 3. I am so excited about this amazing opportunity and to represent College Station High School, the Brazos Valley, Texas, and the USA. All of the competition fees, travel, lodging and miscellaneous expenses will be hefty.
I am asking you to consider contributing to my efforts to compete at this World’s Powerlifting event. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Whether or not you are able to contribute monetarily, I would love to keep you updated. I have created a YouTube channel and you will be able to pull up my videos and see me compete.
