World Marathon Challenge for Planned Parenthood

Family and friends,

On January 31, 2023, I will embark on an incredible adventure - one where I would love your help and support. 

The adventure is the World Marathon Challenge: 7 marathons, on 7 continents, in 7 days.

The races will kick off in Antarctica and we will make our way around the world, stopping on a new continent each day, running a marathon and then flying to the next destination. Fly, race, fly, repeat. 

Many who know about this, have asked me what the experience is going to look like, so I wanted to take this opportunity to share a little more with you. This email is twofold: I am also taking this opportunity to fundraise for what I think is an incredibly important cause in today's environment.

First, the race itself: A group of ~40 participants, from around the world will come together and live out this shared dream. By day seven we will have marathoned in:

I couldn’t be more excited, nervous, anxious, and grateful for the opportunity and adventure ahead.

The purpose of this message is to ask for your moral and also financial support. With the “giving season” upon us and ~60 days until the start of the race, I wanted to humbly ask for your support in helping to raise funds for Planned Parenthood.

Reproductive rights and family planning resources continue to be in jeopardy or, at best, less accessible than they should be. This cause has always been top of mind for me and it continues to require support and advocacy. I would be sincerely grateful for any contributions - no amount is too small. 

I am exceedingly grateful for my own health, the means to afford access, and the simple rights I have, only because I live in California. I have kickstarted the fund with $1,000.
