World Challenge Vietnam Expedition 2024

About me and my expedition:

My name is Isabel Day and I am a year 11 student. In July this year, 5 days after my 16th birthday, I am travelling with a small group of like-minded individuals to Vietnam to complete a "World Challenge" expedition. I will be away from home for 27 nights, I will travel out to the south of Vietnam and trek my way up to the North. 

What I am most excited about is that I have the eye opening opportunity to take part in a few community projects as part of my challenge. Mainly, the project aims to support the livelihoods of single and disadvantaged women from households with difficult circumstances in the A Luoi District. I feel very grateful to be in a position where I can help those less fortunate than I. This challenge will help me to develop my life skills, confidence, resilience, problem-solving, independence, and help me see the world with open eyes. 

My fundraising:

So far to raise money I have done babysitting, car washing, gardening, helping with chores at home and putting aside Christmas and Birthday money towards this expedition. 

On Easter Monday the 1st of April I will be going on a 6 hour hike where I will be walking 14 miles. I would greatly appreciate it if you could sponsor me to help me fundraise for this rewarding, exciting, once in a lifetime experience. 

Any money I earn above the cost of the trip will be donated to the people and causes I meet along the way.
