Help Fund a "Pay-it-Forward" Grant for Rohobot in Ethiopia
Over the past few years, Rohobot has been crafting a concept that could both support him and his family, as well as to help secure the future of baseball in Bekoji. That vision is rooted in a small business, based in the large hub city of Adama – the capital city of Oromia, the region where Bekoji is located.
There, he and a business partner will open a café, featuring billiards tables and a flat-screen TV for showing live sports - a very popular café draw in Ethiopia. Rohobot also intends to incorporate baseball themes into the café and to utilize the space and available technology for teaching the game to Ethiopian youth.
Whatever you can do to help World Baseball Project support Rohobot in his small business venture would be much appreciated. As a reminder, you can also make a contribution via *PayPal by sending/addressing the payment to [email redacted].
Donations exceeding the amount required to cover the grant and related transfer fees will be directed to the World Baseball Project general fund.
Thank you for your continued interest and support. Please stay safe so that we may see each other out on the field again soon.
*All PayPal or other offline contributions are added to the donation tracker on this Go Fund Me Page.
