World 24 hour running championships travel fund
Donation protected
I have been selected to represent Canada at the world 24 hour championships in Albi France on October 26/27 2019. Currently there is zero government funding for this national team so all travel expenses are that of the individual racing. I am hoping to raise money to offset the costs associated with travelling to and from France. Money raised will go towards flights for my husband and I as he is my crew during the 24 hours, accommodations, meals, car rental, and running nutrition and gear to get me through all 24 hours. I represented Canada in 2017 in Belfast Ireland and ran an impressive 209.68 km in 24 hours. I am currently ranked 2nd in Canada and have a lofty mileage goal for the upcoming race. To make this dream a reality any help for travel would be greatly appreciated. Without help I am not sure I will be able to travel to this race (maternity leave sure doesn’t pay great!). I have trained extremely hard and am even attempting a world record in August with my twin daughters in the chariot. In June I tested my training at survivorfest 12 hour race and won the event overall covering 116.240 km in 12 hours. Please consider helping make this dream reality. Raise awareness to the ultrarunning national teams. Corporate sponsorship would be welcome as well and I would gladly represent any companies in social media coverage as well as wearing logos during the race.
