Calling all gamers! A designer is in need!
Michael J Chrzanowski is known by many as a goofball. Some think he’s crazy, but anyone who knows him well enough can see that there’s a method to his madness. Regardless, he has brought many lives together, and has always fought to bring out the best in people even when they fight him every step of the way. There are so many lives that wouldn't be here without him, and so many dreams that would not have been fulfilled. He sacrifices his own happiness for others without a second thought and will always stands up for what is right. Some might call that foolish. I’d say it’s pretty admirable.
Now he’s the one who needs us. Things have not been going so well. Events have led to him needing surgery on his neck to have 4 vertebrate fused. This procedure is with the hopes of returning function to his right hand so he might once again be able to do what he loves most: design video games. The road to recovery is going to be a long one, and there’s no guarantee how soon the benefits will manifest. In the meantime, bills need to be paid both past and present since the onset of this injury caused Mike to lose his current job. We are looking into every possible method of assistance in this trying time, and every little bit helps.
We are asking for $8000. Why 8000? We've determined that’s the amount of lost wages that the onset of this injury has caused to date. On a lighter note, Mike has always been a big fan of patterns and meaningful symmetry to movies and television and he even noted that 8000 was the amount of money that Mr. Potter stole in It’s a Wonderful Life , which the community then raised to replace. It seems to be a fair and fitting amount of money to raise and help a man who’s touched so many lives. For many of us, Mike is our George Bailey. This money would go toward paying bills that he is behind on due to the injury as well as bills and living expenses for the next few months. This will take all of the financial stress out of the healing process. Let’s show Mike just how big his family really is.

About Mike
Mike Chrzanowski’s is a game designer who has worked on numerous titles that have had a lasting impact on the game industry. He got his start at Looking Glass Studios on the Thief Gold and Thief 2 games as a level designer, and while there had the pleasure of working with industry greats such as Ken Levine (BioShock), and Emil Pagliarulo (Skyrim). He later went on to work on games from the Syphon Filter series at Sony Bend, and the Guitar Hero games for while at Vicarious Visions. Since then he has been turning his efforts toward building his own games independently. He is passionate about video games; designing fun experiences that bring joy to others brings him great joy, and he want’s nothing more than to get back on his feet and continue to make more games.
