Women's Transitional Housing

We need one of these to open up 8 beds for Women in the transitional phase between detox and a long term rehab which is 2-4 weeks wait currently. This period of time is very dangerous. An individual without a recovery structured place that doesn't require a job for weeks is at high risk of falling back into addiction. We can get one of these and fill that gap with a positive environment that will help individuals begin the reentry process with help applying for government assistance as well as basics such as identification. We have in house recovery meetings on a regular basis already in place. We have fundraisers each month to pay for our rent and right to be here pushing to reduce the overdose numbers, but we are reaching out for donations right now. We need the community support to raise $10,000. This will be enough to purchase the building, outfit it for use, and install it. We already have the lot. There are not enough beds available for women in recovery at this time but we will grow this building into a multi level structure capable of holding 200 beds. Help us help Escambia County. We are a registered non-profit with 501c3 tax exemption.
