Women In Cannabis Study

The WomenInCannabis.Study is a comprehensive study of the experiences of women working in the global cannabis industry.

By collecting data and creating knowledge on this topic, the study will help to determine the education, policies, procedures and actionable recommendations that can help make the industry a welcoming space for everyone.

The study will:
Ask the hard questions, in order to understand our present reality and shape the future for women entering the space

Paint a pictureof the women working in cannabis as a cohesive group – because together we’re not a minority - and as a more in-depth look at minority and marginalized groups within the whole

Understand women’s work histories, professional trajectories and their roadblocks to success, to include their experiences with bullying, harassment, discrimination & disrespect

Explore their opportunities for leadership, mentorship, life/work balance

Look into the role of cannabis in their lives: whether they use cannabis, and if so, what they use it for, whether they feel pressured to use cannabis because they work in the industry and whether they are shamed for working in the industry or for their personal use of cannabis

Tell the story of women, as well as individual women’s stories - with data

Develop actionable strategies and recommendations that support equality and inclusivity for everyone

Provide ready-to-use content for sponsors and partners

The goal is to create an equitable and inclusive industry that we can all be proud of
