WNY Rebels 5th & 6th Grade Travel Basketball Team
Donation protected
We know you don’t want to buy overpriced wrapping paper, cheese that doesn’t need to be refrigerated or knick knacks that will end up in the junk drawer. Lord knows we hate having to ask you. However, we do need to raise money for our 5th & 6th grade *WNY Rebels travel basketball team. The funds will be used to pay for travel expenses, uniforms and other necessities. The team will be traveling to Boston, New Jersey and (the city Pete Davidson called “trash,” but we happen to like) Syracuse and Rochester (We plan to pack well for that long journey east.) We would appreciate any amount you can donate. There are children on our team who could not afford to travel if it were not for your help. There are several who have never been out of the big city of Batavia. This is an exciting opportunity for them all to play the sport they love, bond as a team and grow as humans - the latter being what matters most. Thank you in advance.
*WNY Rebels are members of the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) and will participate in AAU licensed events
The AAU was founded in 1888 to establish standards and uniformity in amateur sports. During its early years, the AAU served as a leader in international sport representing the U.S. in the international sports federations. The AAU worked closely with the Olympic movement to prepare athletes for the Olympic Games. After the Amateur Sports Act of 1978, the AAU has focused its efforts into providing sports programs for all participants of all ages beginning at the grass roots level. The philosophy of "Sports for All, Forever," is shared by nearly 700,000 participants and over 150,000 volunteers.
