Hi Everyone,

Those of you who know me know that I can become very passionate about something I believe in. I’m wanting to help our friends that we met in Alaska several years ago, Dan and Renee Williams, two very talented and loving people. They moved from Wasilla, AK to Maine and had been getting along pretty well, but not great, until recently.

They had been renting a house and were asked to leave because the owner decided she wanted to move back into this particular rental without warning Dan and Renee. This was not only unexpected, but also very traumatic to them as they are both disabled. Currently they are in the only place they could find which is a motel room that they’ve been surviving in for 3-4 months. They are on a very limited and restricted income at this time.

Due to an accident many years ago now, Dan has to wear a prosthetic leg which no longer fits his leg properly and causes pain and wounds that won't heal with the leg on. [Even with Medicare paying 80% for a new prosthetic] they would still need to come up with $5000 and he also needs a wheelchair badly, which he would need to pay a $600 deductible.

Renee has a very rare and serious disease, Mastocystosis Systemic and cannot live in places with molds or other triggers that cause swelling and severe breathing problems. She requires a professional air purifier in the room she is in at all times just to live and breathe. Her health is continually being compromised each and every time this disease inside her is triggered, causing blood mutations and tumors, also very painful and life threatening.

They need to be able to get into some type of new construction that will accommodate his leg and wheelchair limitations and also not have the mold issues that almost all the older homes in the area are dealing with. They cannot find anything that meets their criteria.

In order to build something, they both would be safe in, they need $10,000 to buy a piece of land and then more for building materials.  One great thing is that they have people there willing to donate volunteer labor to build what would be a relatively small building [equivalent to a 3-stall garage] and make it their home.  Another even greater thing is that they love Jesus!

Won’t you be part of bringing help and hope to this wonderful couple by donating to their cause. As a side note, this is my idea not theirs, they were not even aware of this possibility. They need our financial help, our prayers and our support! Please prayerfully consider what God might have you give.
