Help me go to Tanzania with Red Sweater Project!
Dear Friend,
Red Sweater Project is an international organization that collaborates with local communities to create educational opportunities for children in rural Tanzania. Mungere Village is the site of their next project and I will be going to Tanzania to serve as a Community Health Officer and Office Manager. The first school structure was completed this March, which will eventually serve 240 students at full build-out, and provide education, safe water, basic health services, a certified, quality teaching and administrative team, renewable electricity with computer access, and dining facilities serving two nutritious meals each day. Currently, only 7% of Tanzanians finish high school and I want to help change that:.My Heart for this Adventure
Red Sweater Project needs a lot of assistance in order to grow the organization to assist more and more students. My main responsibility while there will be to organize, conduct research, and provide reports related to various health initiatives at Mungere Secondary School and the community, and manage the office, financial, and administrative functions for Red Sweater Project and Mungere Secondary School. Each day is different with challenges every minute and I am so excited to support Red Sweater Project and the people of Tanzania in any way I can:.
How you can partner and support me?
While sharing with you what has been put on my heart, I am also requesting your support---support with your thoughts, positive energy, and prayers as I move forward with such an immense change in my life, as well as the positive change I hope to help bring to the villagers of Mungere. The other support I need is financially. My plan is to spend roughly four months in Tanzania, leaving the last week of August 2012. To accomplish this goal, I need to raise roughly $3,900 to cover my expenses. If I'm blessed to come up with an excess amount, anything extra will directly fund Mungere Secondary School.
