Wirral Women and Children's Aid

On Tuesday 20th August,  we will be doing a sponsored bike ride to raise money for our charity. In the year ending March 2018 there was said to be an estimated 2.0 million adults between the ages of 16 - 59. 1.3 million were women and 695,000 were men.  One in seven children and
young people under the age of 18 will have lived with domestic
violence at some point in their childhood. 

We would like to raise money in order to make good things happen for the women and children and allow them to leave  with positive happy memories that they can take away with them. 

Here at Wirral Women's and Children's Aid, we also run an ACE's programme which is for Women and Children who have had Adverse Childhood Experiences. This could include separation, neglect, abuse and any long term trauma that may effect them in their every day lives. 
The programme is an 8 week course designed to help people express
their thoughts an emotions through art and activities. It gives them a 
safe place to speak out and learn to manage their feelings. 

We will be hosting a BBQ after the bike ride. £2 for a burger and a drink or a hot dog and a drink. We will also have refreshments for those who have participated.
