Help Feed Our Rhino & Rangers.
The COVID-19 virus is hitting tourism hard this year in South Africa. Tourism is the fuel that keeps some 13,000 reserves open, wildlife in abundance and allows landscapes to remain wild and free of human development for our enjoyment. In saying all this, the management of some prolific species like the rhino on private reserve are going to struggle in a big way. Tourism pays for the continued protection of this iconic African species but without tourism, serious financial pressure has made their safety even more unpredictable. Currently, reserves around the country are cutting their staffs hours to cope with the added pressure that this virus brings but the conservation work must continue!
Every year some of that funding is allocated to feeding small populations of rhino spread all over the country during the dry season. As migration in these places is not an option for wildlife like the grazing rhino (grass eaters), they need assistance from the reserves to remain healthy through this period of low food availability.
We need your help to feed the rhino this year on our rhino reserves in the Limpopo Province. (For obvious reasons we cannot disclose exact locations).
THE TARGET I HAVE SET OUT HAS ALREADY BEEN REACHED TO ASSIST ONE HERD OF RHINO BUT THERE IS MORE OUT THERE WE CAN HELP. €5-10 WILL MAKE SUCH A COLLECTIVE DIFFERENCE.

Keeping rhino safe on private reserves takes a lot of resources and so I am trying to help these reserves, the rhino and the staff who look after them by relieving this small financial burden.
