Winter fundraiser for Endless Medical Advantage

Endless Medical Advantage (EMA) is the only Syrian led mobile health clinic in Lebanon providing essential primary healthcare services to thousands of vulnerable communities across Central and West Bekaa, Lebanon. EMA was established as a primary healthcare organisation and in times of crisis, EMA adapts to the growing needs of the community; continuing to provide primary healthcare services to the isolated communities across Bekaa. Lebanon has given shelter to 1.5 million Syrian refugees, many of whom have limited access to medical services.

We are two junior doctors from the UK, who are currently volunteering with EMA. We have been providing primary healthcare services from a mobile clinic van, alongside our Lebanese and Syrian medical colleagues, which visits different camps in the local area daily. We have seen first-hand how invaluable this service is to the local community, who may otherwise struggle to access healthcare.

As Lebanon continues to fall into economic collapse, the price of medications and healthcare have become more unaffordable, increasing by nearly 5-fold, whilst income remains the same. As the weather becomes colder in the winter months, EMA’s aim is to fundraise to support households in need of fuel and heating, as well as ongoing medication and running costs.
