Winnie Ford Medical/Healing Fund

To all of my family and friends, Gordo and I are looking to help our very good mates Winnie & Ronnie through a very difficult time in their lives. This also goes to all of Winnie & Ronnie's family and friends.
As a lot of you who know them Winnie has been dealing with some big health issues that has him laid up and he will be for quite a few months to come.

It started with the first operation and weeks of Chemo, he has now just gone through a 3 stage Oesophagectomy for Cancer of Oesophagus and Stomach. He has been in ICU at the Brisbane Mater Hospital for 3 weeks and only  made it out into the wards last week. He is doing it tough and the recovery is not going to be easy.

Not only has this been a difficult time for Winnie and his health, but it has been a different, difficult for Ronnie. It is hard to sit and watch this happen to the one you love and not being able to do anything to help other then be there for him which she has. Ronnie has been there with Winnie 24/7 or as much as the hospital will let her be there with him. She has not let him do this on his own she has been his rock and continues to be there day and night.

This is now putting a financial strain there for them as well. The last thing they need to be worrying about is how much all of this is going to cost them.
THERE IS NO PRICE YOU CAN PUT ON SOMEONES LIFE & HEALTH. You just do what you have to do which is what they have done. They havenot asked for any help.

For all of us who know Winnie we know he is always there to help and has helped lots of us over the years in different ways.

Well it is now time for all of us to get together and help Winnie himself. When we first told Winnie & Ronnie what we wanted to do Winnies first reaction was that this was not for him as he didn't deserve to have this done for him, he thought he wasn't sick enough it should be for others. Well that is not true and sometimes you just have to take the help and support that friends and family can give.

None of us can help him with his medical recovery but we can help by taking away some of the financial worry as to where all the money will come from. Money needed to pay for this operation $12,000 + and all of the recovery that is to follow this is an unknown number of $$$. Ronnie’s accommodation while she has been by his side every day and every night of his hospital stay $60 per night. There is still the rent to pay & all the normal household bills.

We are very hopeful that Winnie will be home soon to start the long road to recovery.

So I now ask as many of you as possible to make a donation no mater how small to this GoFundMe account to help try and take one worry away from our great mates Winnie and Ronnie so they can both just concentrate on getting Winnie back on his feet so he can start to annoy the crap out of all of us again.
