In early 2015, I promised fans of the Wichita Wings that their donations would help keep the history of the team alive. The result, "Make This Town Big," was published in 2016 and spent most of the summer on Watermark Books' Bestseller list, rising as high as #2. Now, I am asking you to help bring that story to the screen.
Adam Knapp, and Kenneth Linn, the filmmakers behind the award-winning documentary "Out Here in Kansas," are working with me to produce a film worthy of the Wings' memory. Their creative vision is what will make this movie something we can all be proud of. We are joined by my book co-author Mike Romalis and Tori Deatherage, a marketing guru.
We've already filmed a portion of the documentary, but it is an expensive process. We need your help to defray the costs of making a first-class film. These expenses include location and equipment rentals, costume construction, music licensing, crew expenses, additional video equipment, film festival expenses, distribution, and more.
