Funding for Winey Redhead's WSET Diploma

For the cost of a Starbucks coffee, you can sponsor a woman in the wine industry striving for continued education.
If you do not know me - hi, I'm Chelsea. I am an impassioned wine professional in Atlanta. I am seeking funding for my next level within the Wine & Spirits Educational Trust. The WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines is an expert-level qualification covering all aspects of wine. It normally takes between 18 months to 3 years to complete the Diploma. To complete the Diploma, you must pass all six units, successfully meeting the rigorous assessment requirements.
The Capital Wine School in Washington DC is the closest course provider to Atlanta.
The cost for an all-inclusive 6-unit Diploma package is $7,200. I can purchase each unit individually, but it is more expensive. There will also be the cost of travel to DC for each unit’s exam, additional reference material, and wine for blind tastings. I want to register by March 31st to begin my first Unit (D1) in June 2021.
Now that you know the what - here is the why. The wine industry is still lacking diversity and inclusion, especially in the Southeast US. 2020 brought a glaring light to the issues within the certifying bodies of the wine world but not much has been done for my local community. My goal with passing Diploma is to focus specifically on bringing education and opportunities to wine professionals in the Atlanta market and other "wine education deserts" in the Southeast. The wine industry needs every voice that wants to be heard and none should be muffled simply because they don't have the access to certifications or the financial means.

Oct 2019 - inaugural scholarship recipient from Women Behind the Wine
Jan 2020 - inaugural scholarship recipient and attendee of Assemblage Symposium
Aug 2020 - passed Society of Wine Educator's Certified Specialist of Wine with 95%
Nov 2020 - passed WSET Level 3 Award in Wines with Merit
Jan 2021 - currently studying French Wine Scholar
Sep 2020 to current - an organizer for a virtual tasting group of wine professionals in the Atlanta area
