Windsor’s Victory Over Cancer

Donation protected
My son Windsor was diagnosed with an aggressive, resistant form of cancer just before his 19th birthday in December.  He's undergone extensive testing, radical surgery, emergency surgery, and has just completed his 2nd round of chemotherapy.

We live in Colorado and are fortunate to have good doctors who care greatly about Windsor.  He's won the hearts of his medical team (if you know Windsor you're not surprised!) and is receiving compassionate care in a very uplifting, supportive enviroment at UC Cancer Center.

Because of the extremely aggressive nature of this cancer - it grows and spreads so fast - it’s resistance to treatment, and the high probability of recurrence, he's receiving a very high dose, very specific course of chemotherapy (BEP Q21) where he receives infussions through a surgically implaned port 5 days in a row for 5-6 hours each day, again on the 8th day, the 15th day and then starts the whole process over again on day 21 for a new round.

Following his initial surgery in early December the cancer spread quickly to his lungs. Fortunately we appear to have caught it and started treatment before it reached his brain.  We  are grateful for this!

So many friends, and friends of friends, have joined hands and added him to prayer chains all over the country in support of his fight.  If you've been the parent or loved one of a child with cancer you know how helpless it can feel to not be able to do more... As his dad, I want to do everything I can to help him win this battle, so I'm raising my hand as we experience a seemingly endless stream of daily expenses for his treatment, care, related travel, and nutrition to become and remain cancer free.  If you have the means and are able to contribute $5, 10 or even $20 it would make such a big difference.

It’s not practical for all to contribute financially, we completely understand this, and would be honored if you'd consider  joining those praying for Windsor, for the life changing relationships that are occurring daily, for the wisdom of his medical teams, our research, support of his brothers, sister, mom, friends, total strangers and other family members as we care for him, encourage others fighting along side him, and for a hedge of protection around the positive, healing environment he's held in today.

His spirit, grace and will to fight are an inspiration to all of us who are with him daily -  overwhelming actually!  He’s a light and encouragement, always has been, and our faith deepens as we lean in together for this journey in the months and years to come.

Blessings,
-Tim Broadhurst
