Early Thursday morning our family lost a key piece of our history, memories, and our hearts.
Fire tore through Doug Shore's farmhouse located at Wilshore Farm on Hurricane Road in Falmouth. By the time the fire was reported and firefighters arrived, it was too late to save the house. Thankfully Doug and his girlfriend were at her house that evening and no one was hurt, however 2 cats were lost in the fire. Doug lost 3 vehicles and a tractor when the garage burnt down. Years of memories, family history, and irreplaceable awards from 3 generations were also lost.
We thank from the bottom of our hearts the firefighters that worked their hardest to keep the fire from reaching the barn. Thank you to all our friends, family, and strangers for your out pouring of love!
We will use the money raised here to help Doug rebuild and restore Wilshore Farm to it nostalgic beauty.
