Wilnecote Junior School break in repairs
Unfortunately on Sunday 22nd November Wilnecote Junior School was broken into. They did not get into the main building but created a lot of damage on school site. They damaged the chicken coop and chicken pen; all the chickens were released (all chickens are now safe).
The vandals also destroyed the scooter storage shed and damaged all the safety equipment. This is really disappointing as these were funded from the PTFA funds and the children worked really hard to secure the funding and presenting a case to have this equipment installed. Due to the added costs of COVID-19 school informed us that it maybe some time before we can afford to replace all this equipment.
It’s been a difficult year for school staff and children (well, for all of us) and I felt that as parents/carers and as a community we would all want to come together, show our support and help pay for any repairs or equipment that needs replacing.
Let’s show a bit of community spirit ❤️
