As many of you already know, I have decided to join a team from church (Judah Church, Charlotte, NC) and embark on a journey to Israel. This is not some 'bucket list' expedition for me, there is a need to spread the Word. In a country of 8+ million people, just over 2% practice Christianity. The majority are Greek Orthodox and Roman Catholic churches. You may be thinking 'what's the big deal?' You see, living in the land of the free, especially if you live in the Bible belt, we have a church on every block and it's very easy to find what 'fits' us. Most of the worlds, especially the Israeli people, do not have such luxury. Ok, so why do they need another 'religion'? They don't, they need Christ. They need the relationship, the real thing! I persuaded to share truth by Acts 4:12 - There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. We are to spread the Gospel of Jesus to everyone, not just those who live in the most poverty stricken areas; everyone. We are called…I just happened to pick up the phone.
Ok, so how?
Judah Church is partnering with Shabbach Conferences and Eddie James Ministries to create a conference for the local Israeli people. Experiencing a Shabbach Conference myself, for the first time back in February, I can tell you that this is a life changing opportunity to share the gospel in a profound way! I can personally say it is powerful! This is why I am excited to be going with such a powerful and effective group. We will be serving in whatever way possible to ensure the gospel is delivered in way that the Holy Spirit can be affective and deliberate.
Ok, here it is…
Yes, financial support is one way to help and yes it’s a vital part to any trip like this. But, it’s not the only way to help. I understand not everyone is in a position to do so. It’s your prayers that are the most powerful and most important necessity that I ask for. We need prayer to cover us for this trip. Please pray that from December 12 through December 23, we can impact a region so that in turn, that region will impact the world. This is a long trip a long, long, long way from home so prayer is vitally important. This is an amazing opportunity and I couldn't be more excited to put my feet on the same land Jesus walked on! I (along with the rest of the team) don't worry about how we will get there, God already knows and my faith is in Him. I am excited that I have an opportunity to serve the people of Israel while I introduce them to my Jesus. Please be in prayer that this trip would be a point of difference in someone's life. That salvation will exceed the walls of our church, beyond our city, far beyond our nation and into a country that God has blessed, yet still find themselves lost and hopeless.
