My name is Alexis Dennis and I have had the pleassure of knowing the Rauscher's for over ten years.
On Sunday October 16th, William was playing in the backyard with his siblings when the unimaginable happened. William’s foot was almost completely severed off by a riding lawn mower. William was care flighted to Children’s Hospital in Dallas. Doctors determined after an initial surgery that his foot could not be reattached and that a second surgery would be needed to close the wound and remove any foot bone that was remaining. William will have to learn to bear weight on his stump, which consist of his tibia and fibula bone. Brad and Kim have had to stop life and attend to William, leaving their three other children in the care of family. As you can imagine the unexpected expenses have started to pile up, including food and gas while staying two hours away from home, medical bills, and therapist bills. In three weeks Kim and William will make the two hour commute to Scottish Rite Hospital to start physical therapy and be fitted for his prosthesis. This trip will be made several times a month if not weekly.
Kim is a stay at home wife and mother and Brad is an insurance agent with Allstate in Tyler, Texas. Brad and Kim are faithful Christians who have had nothing but trust in the Lord during this difficult time. Many of us know Brad and Kim through Denton Bible Church where they were faithful in serving the church and community until they moved to Mineola where they now attend First Baptist Lindale. Please consider helping Brad and Kim during this time.
